Last weekend I demonstrated the quickest, and most painless way to trim a cat’s nails. Ten minutes later the cat was headbutting me and purring, which he hadn’t done the entire day.
My little sister looked at me like I was magic.
An hour later, she texted me and said ‘in that picture you sent, the dog looks cute, but you look creepy.’
Yep, balance restored.

As I write this, there are three cats in the room with me. One is the roomie’s. I am not trying to steal his cats. Honestly.
Mom: You know that scene in the candy factory with Lucy and Ethel?
Me: Yes?
Mom: That was me at the polls today with the ballots.
Me: I hope you didn’t try to eat any of them.
Mom: ….I wish I could have, it was insane.
-Fortunately we were talking on the phone and I didn’t laugh too loudly.
